Rhapsody in Green Festival 2014: Here's what you need to know

The 35th annual Rhapsody in Green Festival began Friday, June 13, and will continue through the weekend at the Island Park in Elkhart.

The festival will be from noon to midnight on Saturday, June 14, and noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 15. You can get to Island Park from the walking bridges located at Lundquist-Bicentennial Park, Pulaski Park and Sycamore Street. 

The cost of admission is $1 after 5 p.m. on Saturday and free on Sunday.

The event features a variety of food and live performances, from drum ensembles to magicians. Here’s what you can expect on the Main and East stages on Saturday and Sunday at the Rhapsody in Green Festival.

The Rhapsody in Green 2014 Festival brings together a variety of musical genres, from Motown to Jazz music. Here’s a sample of what you can expect to hear when you visit Island Park this weekend.

Weather for the festival

Saturday is expected to be sunny with temperatures as high as 78 and as low as 55, according to the National Weather Service. Sunday night is expected to be mostly clear.

Sunday is also expected to be mostly sunny with temperatures as high as 85 and as low as 68. However, there is 60 percent chance of precipitation on Sunday night. Showers and thunderstorms are likely after 9 p.m.
