    Concert for the Cure
    When: 7 p.m. Friday, June 13

    Where: Beutter Park, Main and Mishawaka Avenue, Mishawaka

    Description:: Michiana Hematology Oncology will host a free concert featuring The Whistle Pigs. There will be a life lighting ceremony at dusk celebrating the fight against cancer. Admission is free.

    Wakarusa Bluegrass Festival

    Where: 66425 S.R. 19 S., Wakarusa

    When: 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 13

    Description: The festival starts Friday with a free banjo workshop at 3 p.m., followed by an open mic Bluegrass jam at 6 p.m. Bring your acoustic musical instrument, be it a guitar, dobro, fiddle, mando, harmonica or upright bass, join in the fun and jam with your own group or everyone.

    Kroozin' USA Car Show - It's All About Dad

    Where: Concord Mall. 3701 Main St., Elkhart

    When: 5 p.m. Friday, June 13

    Description: The cruise-in and car show is hosted by Fast Eddie's Kroozin' USA Car Shows. The event will include music, food and trivia.

    Harvest Market

    Where: Woodlawn Nature Center. 604 Woodlawn Ave., Elkhart

    When: 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 13.

    Description: Stop by the Woodlawn Nature Center to buy fresh, locally grown produce, plants and hand-made crafts. The Harvest Market will be open on Fridays for the season until Oct. 11. 

    Cambrae Reedstrom

    Where: LaSalle Kitchen. 115 W. Colfax Ave., South Bend

    When: 5 p.m. Friday, June 13

    Description: LaSalle Kitchen will be having an After Work Office Party, featuring Cambrae, which will be playing an acoustic set from 5 to 7 p.m.

    DTSB Summer Fitness
    When: 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Saturday, June 14

    Where: College Football Hall of Fame Gridiron, South Michigan Street, Downtown South Bend

    Description: Every Saturday from June 7 through August 30, downtown South Bend will offer a free outdoor fitness program. The classes include a mix of yoga, Zumba, cardio dance and jazzercise. Classes are led by local fitness instructors.

    Antique Tractor Cruise-In
    When: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 14

    Where: Coppes Commons, 401 E. Market St., Nappanee

    Description: Local tractor clubs will “pull together to cure cancer” at this first annual event. There will be 10-mile and three-mile cruises around downtown Nappanee, along with wagon rides for cancer survivors. Miniature wagon rides and painting will be available for children.     Patchwork in Nappanee Quilt Show

    Where: 302 West Market St. Nappanee

    When: Saturday, June 14

    Description: The Nappanee Center has an exhibit showing more than 30 quilts that help tell Nappanee’s story. Work from local quilters and collectors is displayed at the center. The quilt show runs in conjunction with the blooming of the Nappanee Center Quilt Garden, one of many along Elkhart County's Heritage Trail.

    Potato Creek & Lions Strawberry Festival

    Where: Downtown North Liberty, Ind. 

    When: 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14

    Description: The two-day festival starts Friday and will include musical performances, a 5K Spud Run, a car show, a kids tractor pull, food vendors, a talent show, strawberry shortcakes and a beer garden, among other activities. 

    Nappanee Second Saturdays

    Where: Coppes Commons, 401 E. Market St., Nappanee

    When: 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14

    Description: Area tractor clubs will have an Antique Tractor Cruise-in, which will consist of a 10-mile and 3-mile cruise around Nappanee. There will also be activities for children, like miniature wagon rides and tractor painting with their feet.

    Movie in the Park

    Where: West Side Park, Nappanee

    When: 9 p.m. Saturday, June 14

    Description: Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, family and friends to this outdoor showing of the 1989 animated classic "All Dogs go to Heaven." There will be crafts for kids beginning at 8:30 p.m. and free refreshments while supplies last. Movie will be shown inside the pavilion in case of inclement weather.

    Memorial Day Weekend Season Opening

    Where: 11:30 a.m. (CDT) Saturday, June 14

    When: Hesston Steam Museum. 1201 E. 1000 N., LaPorte

    Description: There will be three sizes of steam trains to ride, as well as steam power plant, saw mill and antique vehicles. There will also be a soda fountain and ice cream parlor.

    Movies In the Park: “All Dogs Go To Heaven”
    When: 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14

    Where: Westside Park Pavilion, 700 N. Nappanee St., Nappanee

    Description: Families are invited to bring their blankets and lawn chairs for an outdoor screening of the 1989 film “All Dogs go to Heaven.” Kids crafts start at 8:30 p.m. and free refreshments will be offered while supplies last. In case of rain, the movie will be shown inside the pavilion. The event is sponsored by the City of Nappanee Parks Department, Friends of the Nappanee Public Library and Lake City Bank.

    15th Annual Juneteenth Festival

    Where: LaSalle Park, 3419 W. Washington St., South Bend

    When: 9 a.m. Sunday, June 15

    Description: The 15th Annual Juneteenth celebration, hosted by the South Bend Chapter Indiana Black Expo, will be held on Sunday, June 15, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at LaSalle Park. Juneteenth, which celebrates the end of slavery in the United States, was first celebrated on June 19, 1865. This year marks the 149th year of freedom. The theme this year is "Break Every Chain."

    Meet Clifford the Horse

    Where: Fernwood Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve, 13988 Range Line Road, Niles

    When: 1 p.m. Sunday, June 15

    Description: The whole family is invited to meet Clifford, the Morgan horse who heels, dances, plays with toys and retrieves. He also paints and performs tricks.

    Sundays in the Park
    When: 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, June 15

    Where: Riverfront Park Amphitheater, downtown Niles, Mich. 

    Description: Musicians Dena Dena Dena and Chad Miller will perform live.
