    Several local students are honored for achievements at colleges across the country.

    LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Andrea Niemier of Granger, Ind., graduated May 10 from Colorado Christian University.

    Niemier earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with an emphasis in international business and a minor in biblical studies. In 2013, she studied for a semester at the Wesley Institute in Sydney, Australia. She is the daughter of Dave and Shari Niemier.

    GREENVILLE, S.C. — Samantha Loucks of Nappanee, Ind., a senior journalism and mass communications major, was named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2014 semester at Bob Jones University. To be named to the dean’s list, students must earn at least a 3.0 GPA.

    VINCENNES — Derek Reafsnyder of Goshen and Melinda Manges of New Paris were recently named to the Spring 2014 dean’s list at Vincennes University.

    Students named to the dean’s list must achieve a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and be enrolled in at least 12 semester credit hours.

    HOLLAND, Mich. — Several local students were recently named to the dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester at Hope College.

    Students must earn a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale to be placed on the dean’s list.

    Elkhart: Benjamin Kain (senior) and Natalie Allen (senior).

    Granger: Nicole Ditto (senior).

    Milford: Emma Donahoe (sophomore).
