Lemonade Day contests teach kids marketing, sales and management skills
Do you think you have the best lemonade stand in town?
Here's your chance to prove it.
On Thursday, May 1, kids around the area will get the chance to show off their lemonade stands while learning valuable lessons about marketing, sales and management. The event will take place at Concord Mall and be judged by local celebrities.
"The Contest Event is a great way for kids to showcase all their hard work and talents to community leaders, sponsors and their peers in a friendly, rewarding competition," Lemonade Day Elkhart County committee member Ryon Wheeler said in a news release.
Competitors will be judged in three categories: best stand, best tasting lemonade and best business.
The event leads up to Lemonade Day on Saturday, May 3, which will host lessons to teach young entrepreneurs the ins and outs of starting and running a business.
The winners at Thursday's event will be given Concord Mall gift cards and trophies. An awards ceremony will follow the judges' deliberation.
The event begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Concord Mall.
For more information on how to enter the contest, visit Lemonade Day Elkhart's website. Most entries should be submitted by Tuesday, April 29.
