The 10th annual Art is Ageless contest and exhibit is set for May in St. Joseph and Elkhart counties.

GOSHEN — Amateur artists in Elkhart or St. Joseph Counties, age 55 and older, are invited to enter the 10th annual Art Is Ageless contest and exhibit, sponsored by Greencroft Communities to recognize the creativity, growth and contributions of older generations.

The Elkhart County exhibition will be May 22-26 at Greencroft Goshen Community Center, 1820 Greencroft Blvd. Applications are due May 12. Art pieces must be delivered between 1 and 5 p.m. May 20. For more information contact Amy Schini at 537-4096.

The St. Joseph County exhibition will be May 19-30 at Southfield Village, 6450 Miami Circle, South Bend. Applications are due May 9. Art pieces must be delivered between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. May 15. For more information contact Rochelle Hurt at 807-8316.

Artists can submit up to three entries, completing one application per entry. All art pieces must have been completed when the artist was age 55 or older and within the past 10 years. There is no entry fee.

Categories are: paintings and drawings; photography; needlework, quilting and weaving; and sculpture, ceramics and woodworking. Prizes are awarded in each category in addition to awards for Best of Show and People’s Choice. Winning entries will be featured in a 2015 Greencroft Communities wall calendar.
