Friday, April 11

Open Mic Night - 4 p.m. | Free

Rick's Corner/ Worldwide Jewelry and Pawn, 2621 West Lexington Ave. in Elkhart

This is a chance for you to show off your talents. If you don't have an instrument and want to perform, you can borrow one of Rick's Corner's. They will also have a featured artist or group that night. 

Fish Fry - 5 p.m.

American Legion Post 308, 122 Lincolnway East in Osceola

American Legion Post 308 has a fish fry every Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a free live band from 8 p.m. to midnight. All you can eat fish costs $7.50 and carry-out costs $8. Cole slaw, french fries and cottage cheese will also be served.

Neal McCoy - 8 p.m. | $22.50 – $41.50

The Lerner Theatre, 410 S. Main St. in Elkhart

Neal McCoy, a country music artist, will perform at The Lerner Theatre. Some of his most popular songs are "Wink," "The Shake" and "A-OK."

Monster Craft 3 - All Day | Free

A ten session series of lessons designed to teach basic bridge skills.

Friday Night Swing Dancing - 7 p.m. | $8

The Music Village-Downtown South Bend, 108 N. Main Street, Ste. 113 in South Bend.

Swing dancing lessons from 7-8 p.m. every Friday night with the Notre Dame Swing Club, and open dancing afterward from 8-9:15 p.m. ! Cost is $8 with a $1 discount for each canned good (up to $3 off). Food donations go to St. Margaret's House.

One of the golden age's most beloved musical comedies, Kiss Me, Kate follows the onstage and offstage exploits of a fiery couple of lead actors on tour. It's a musical adaptation of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew.

Linton's Easter Egg-straordinaire - 8 a.m. | $1-$5

Linton's Enchanted Gardens, 315 C.R. 17 in Elkhart

Fun for the entire family! Ride the Enchanted Express to the Easter Egg Hunt for only $5 per person. Train runs 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Free photos with the Easter Bunny with a canned good donation (to benefit Church Community Services). Easter Cookie Decorating only $1. Visit baby chicks, baby ducks, baby lambs and baby goats in a free petting zoo.

Pinewood Derby Race - 10 a.m. | Free

Concord Mall, 3701 S. Main St. in Elkhart

Cub Scout Packs will come together for a fast and furious Pinewood Derby Race. It will start at 10 a.m. and run until noon. The public is welcome to come watch. The boys worked on their cars themselves – they sanded, painted, decorated and had fun creating them. 

Ukrainian Egg Painting Class and Bake Sale - 12 p.m. | $6-$15

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 61314 C.R. 21 in Goshen

The class will teach the art of Ukrainian egg painting. All materials will be supplied. Adults can attend for $15, and children under 12 can attend for $6. The church will also be holding its annual bake sale. To register for the class, call 574-537-1975 or 574-707-5728.

Michiana Music Conference - 12 p.m.

Northern Indiana Event Center at RV/MH Hall of Fame, 21565 Executive Parkway in Elkhart

The Michiana Music Conference will be hosting music veteran and radio personality James Taylor; JoVia Armstrong from SAE; and keynote speaker Kevin Mitchell from National Amusements, who has worked with with Grammy and Oscar winning projects. Elkhart's own Denver Bronco and recording artist Nathan "NaPalm" Palmer will perform. 

Easter Eggstravaganza - 2 p.m. | Free

Crossroads Community Church, 57415 Alpha Dr. in Goshen

There will be bounce houses, face painting, magic shows, crafts and more. Over 30,000 easter eggs will be part of a hunt that starts at 4 p.m.

Stone Sculpture Workshop - 9 a.m. | $60

Fire Arts Inc., 305 E. Colfax Ave. in South Bend

The workshop will teach you how to make small stone sculptures by hand. All of the materials necessary will be provided. The class will be taught by an award-winning instructor.

Criminal Record Expungement Seminar - 9 a.m. | Free

Ivy Tech South Bend, 220 Dean Johnson Blvd. in South Bend

Ivy Tech Community College’s School of Public and Social Services will hold a criminal record expungement seminar Saturday, April 12 at the South Bend campus from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The seminar will feature a Q and A session, along with free consultations. The event will also feature information on the current Indiana expungement law, as well as information on how a criminal arrest record could be cleared to aid an individual in finding employment. Those interested in learning more about eligibility requirements for expungement are encouraged to bring a criminal history report, BMV record and parole discharge letter.

Palm Sunday Tornado Remembrance - 1 p.m. | Free

Elkhart County Historical Museum, 304 W. Vistula St. in Bristol

In 1965, a string of tornados ran across the Midwest and Elkhart County was one of the hardest areas hit. See images and recount the day of and the days that followed when the tornados hit 49 years ago. Also, a special collection will be taken up for tornado victims.

Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds - 7:30 p.m. | $20

Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds is an eight-piece powerhouse that puts a modern spin on classic soul. The band is led by Arleigh Kincheloe (Sister Sparrow), whose astoundingly powerful voice and sly demeanor make for a spellbinding presence onstage. Vendors will be selling a wide, wide variety of items at this event, which will also feature an egg hunt for children.

Salsa Sundays: Monthly Latin Dance Social - 5:30 p.m. | $5

Dan O'Day Dance Studio, 107 E. First St. in Mishawaka

Event attendees can dance the salsa and get a taste of other Latin dances like the bachata, merengue and cha-cha. All ages are welcome, and no partner is necessary. Please wear dance shoes or shoes that haven't been worn outside to protect the floor.

Prepare the Way Easter Drama - 6 p.m. | Free

River of Life Fellowship, 11162 S.R. 120 in Middlebury

River of Life Fellowship presents "Prepare the Way," an Easter drama that follows the life of a young man who encounters Jesus Christ. The life-giving story of Jesus: His ministry, death, resurrection and second coming, are recounted. Tickets are free.

American Idiot - 7 p.m. | $30 – $70

Morris Performing Arts Center, 211 North Michigan St. in South Bend

American Idiot the musical will be performed.
