College notes, April 5

An Elkhart college student will travel to Guyana this summer to study the wisdom and conservation of the local people, and a Granger college student will be exhibiting his artwork at Huntington University.

OXFORD, Ohio — Kelle Price of Elkhart, Ind., will travel to Guyana during the summer of 2014 to study the wisdom and conservation of the local people.

Price is a master’s student in the global field program as part of Miami University’s Project Dragonfly. She is an Elkhart Community Schools teacher, and she has previously traveled to Baja and Belize as part of the Project Dragonfly program.

HUNTINGTON — Matt Nelson of Granger, a graduating digital media arts major at Huntington University, will have his work on display until April 16 in the Robert E. Wilson Gallery in the Merillat Centre for the Arts on the university campus. An opening reception will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 5.

The exhibit will be made up of the work of graduating seniors and will include feature films and animations.
