An upcoming movie night in South Bend will aim to raise money for the area's homeless community.
The State Theatre will be screening Dumb and Dumber, and all proceeds from the event will go the Center for the Homeless, a flyer from the event's sponsors said.
The center, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, works to connect people with programs, agencies and community members who can help them escape life on the street, the center's website said.
Downtown South Bend, The State Theatre, Young Professionals Against Poverty and the Center for the Homeless are sponsoring the event, the flyer said.
The movie night will start at 6:30 p.m. April 12 at the State Theatre in South Bend. Tickets are $5 per person.
