Looking for a fun Easter activity for kids?

Wellfield Botanic Gardens will host an EGG-stravaganza on April 8 that will teach children why eggs are important, which animals come from eggs and how to naturally dye eggs in celebration of the holiday, Amish Country Northern Indiana said on its website.

Kids will also get the chance to do experiments with eggs and go on an egg hunt, our news partners at WNDU reported.

For the dying portion of the event, children can bring up to six hardboiled eggs with them, WNDU said. The EGG-stravaganza will be held outside and costs $3 per child.

The event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at Wellfield Botanic Gardens.
