Sugar Camp Days will teach families how to make their own maple syrup, starting from the maple tree to the pancake stack.
The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., March 16 -17, at the Bendix Woods County Park in South Bend. Other activities include a tour of the sugar bush, pancake breakfasts, musical events and horse-drawn wagon rides.
"Vermont may have the reputation of being the maple syrup capital, but Indiana has plenty of maple syrup to give the tiny state a run for its money." Erik Deckers writes on the Indiana Insider Blog.
