College notes, March 4, 2014

Local students attending Oklahoma City University and Vanderbilt University received honors for their academic achievements.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.— Abram Schwinn of Goshen has been awarded a departmental scholarship from Oklahoma City University based on his grade point average, ACT/SAT test scores and major.

Schwinn was also awarded a merit scholarship based on grade point average and ACT/SAT test scores.

SHIPSHEWANA — Skyler Carpenter of Shipshewana was named to the dean’s list at Vanderbilt University for the fall 2013 semester. Students must acheive a 3.50 grade point average or higher while enrolled in 12 or more graded credit hours of course work.
