Senior of the Year nominations now being accepted
The Council on Aging of Elkhart County is accepting nominations for its first Elkhart County Senior of the Year award.
ELKHART — The Council on Aging of Elkhart County is accepting nominations for its first Elkhart County Senior of the Year competition.
Nominees must be Elkhart County residents who are at least 60 years old. They can be volunteers or paid professionals who are involved in areas of civic engagement, creative arts or technology and innovation.
A nomination form can be found on the Council on Aging’s website at www.elkhartcoa.org/senior-of-the-year and should be accompanied by a 300-500 word description of the nominee’s contributions to the Elkhart community. A photo of the nominee will be accepted with the nomination, but is not required.
Submissions for nominations are due on April 1 to Tammy Friesen at Council on Aging for Elkhart County via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or via postal service at 203 E. Jackson Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46516.
The winner will be announced at the 2014 Crystal Swing Gala on April 25 at the Crystal Ballroom in the Lerner Theatre.
