ELKHART Kim Woofter, chief operating officer at Michiana Hematology Oncology Advanced Centers for Cancer Care, was recently appointed co-chair of the Community Oncology Alliance Administrators’ Network, a national oncology administrators network.
The CAN network fosters information and idea exchange among community oncology practice administrators.
“CAN allows me to collaborate with administrators throughout the country,” Woofter said. “We know that four out of five Americans with cancer are treated in oncology practices based in their own communities. As an administrator for a community oncology practice, I want to foster dialogue with others as we all face similar challenges providing care to our patients.”
Woofter will co-chair alongside Scott Parker, executive director of Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers.
