Elkhart Elkhart General to host smoke out celebration event

ELKHART – Elkhart General Hospital will host “Walk Away for a Day: The Great American Smoke Out Celebration” from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 21 in the Hospital Arcade Avenue entrance.

The event is in honor of the American Cancer Society Great American Smoke Out. Participants will join Elkhart General Hospital clinicians and staff in games, activities, screenings, contests and strategies to help smokers quit. There will be activities for smokers, former smokers and non-smokers.

Registration is not required. For more information call 523-3303.

 Christiana Creek flows past Wellfield Botanic Gardens. The creek's small rapids make a great place for kayaking.
