Holiday bazaars

Below is a roundup of upcoming craft shows, bake sales and holiday bazaars in the Elkhart County area. A full list will be published online every Friday until mid-December.

NOV. 2

Grace Lutheran Church: The Bells are Ringing Bazaar will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 831 W. Marion St., Elkhart. There will be decorated cookies, baked goods, mincemeat, needlecraft, china doll collections, handmade noodles and homemade salad dressings. Breakfast and lunch will be served, and carryout will be available.

Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church: A craft bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, 24832 U.S. 12 East, Edwardsburg, Mich. There will be more than 70 vendors offering unique gifts, handmade baked goods and treats and holiday décor. Breakfast and lunch treats will be available to purchse.

Solid Rock Church: A holiday bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, 58970 C.R. 3, Elkhart. There will be Scentsy candles as well as craft made purses, wreaths, painted pumpkins, centerpieces, snowmen, ornaments, jewelry and origami owls. Sandwiches will be available all day. Trinity Lutheran Church and School: The Crusaders Christmas Bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran, 30888 C.R. 6, Elkhart. There will be breakfast, lunch and a bake sale.

United Methodist Church: A holiday craft bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 301 S. Main St., Middlebury. There will be handmade crafts, fresh Christmas wreaths and baked goods. There will be coffee in the morning and lunch available in the afternoon. Proceeds will benefit the Middlebury Food Pantry. The event is sponsored by the United Methodist Women of Middlebury. Northside Church of the Nazarene: A craft bazaar and bake sale will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Family Life Center on the lower level of the church, 53569 C.R. 7 North, Elkhart. Use Door 2. Lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Information: Carl Mayfield at 276-9822

NOV. 9

Bethel Assembly of God Church: A holiday bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 1528 Garden St., Elkhart. There will be soup mixes, peanut brittle, baked goods, knitted hats, various new and used items, a silent auction and vendor products. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Beulah Missionary Church: A holiday bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 57595 Old C.R. 7, Goshen. There will be homemade items, jewelry and stained glass and baby items and baked goods, both from His Helping Hands Sewing Group of Zion Missionary Church, as well as home vendors. Bonneyville Mill County Park: The Holiday at the Mill event will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the park, 53373 C.R. 131, Bristol. There will be flour and cornmeal from the mill for sale, as well as craft vendors. Santa and a live reindeer will be at the mill, and there will be ornament making for children. Clinton Frame Mennonite Church: A holiday bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 63846 C.R. 35, Goshen. There will be locally made gift items, crafts, home product vendors and baked goods for sale. There will also be Rise ‘N Roll donuts, whole hog sandwiches and pies for sale. Crossroads Community Chuch: The Crossroads Community Church Women’s Ministries Annual Craft Fair will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the church, 57415 Alpha Drive, Goshen. There will be handmade and brand name items available. Doughnuts, beverages and lunch will be available.

Dunlap United Methodist Church: The Shop-O-Rama event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 23674 U.S. 33, Elkhart. There will be vendors such as Thirty-One, Longaberger baskets, Miche, Starfish, Premier Jewelry and the Wakarusa Dime Store. There will be lunch and a bake sale. Information: Call 875-7950.

Faith United Methodist Church: A homemade craft bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 22045 C.R. 18, Goshen. There will be homemade crafts, used Christmas items, cheese balls by the Alpha Rho Chapter, Beta Chi Sorority and peanut brittle made by the church. A continental breakfast and lunch will be served.

Hart City Resale: A local holiday craft bazaar will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hart city Resale, 2301 S. Nappanee St., Elkhart. All items for sale will be homemade only. Vendor booths available. Booth information: Call 293-0133.

Hope United Methodist Church: The annual church bazaar will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 69941 Elkhart Road, Edwardsburg, Mich. There will be crafters, a bake sale, white elephant gifts and used books. Lunch will be served.

Lutheran Church of the Redeemer: A craft bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church, 3300 Benham Ave., Elkhart. There will be handmade crafts, a silent auction and food.

Osceola United Methodist Church: A holiday fantasy bazaar will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 431 N. Beech Road, Osceola. There will craft vendors such as Second Time Around and Country Kitchen. There will also be books, homemade noodles and jumbo jelly beans. Snacks and lunch will be served.

St. David’s Episcopal Church: A bazaar will be hosted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. by the Episcopal Church Women of the church. The bazaar will include a cookie walk, baked goods and old and new Christmas decorations. Soup will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the community.

St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church: A holiday bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 226 W. Lexington Ave., Elkhart. There will be arts and crafts, baked goods and “forgotten treasures.” Free parking. Information: 295-1725.

St. Paul Lutheran Church: A Holiday Potpourri Bazaar hosted by the St. Paul Lutheran Ladies Circle will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 305 W. State St., Cassopolis, Mich. There will be area crafters, a bake sale, a “White Reindeer” table and Christmas gifts. Lunch will be served. Information and vendor reservation: Jenny Bischoff at 269-782-7484.

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church: The Star of Wonder bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to noon at the church, 405 W. Beardsley Ave., Elkhart. There will be Christmas crafts and decorations, knitted and crocheted items, baked goods, Rada knives, whole hog sausage, cracklings and cheese curds.

Trinity United Methodist Church: The holiday gift auction and tea will be from 12:30 to 3:15 p.m. at the church, 2715 E. Jackson Blvd., Elkhart. Auction items are one-of-a-kind gifts for children and adults. Refreshments provided. Sponsored by the church’s United Methodist Women. Proceeds benefit local and national charities.

Union Center Church of the Brethren: A holiday extravaganza will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 70535 C.R. 11, Nappanee. There will be bazaar items, a bake sale, a youth fundraiser booth, vendors, crafters and a quilt sold by silent auction. There will be morning refreshments and lunch available. The event will be sponsored by the Women’s Fellowship.

White Pigeon United Methodist Church: A holiday bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church, 204 N. Kalamazoo St., White Pigeon. There will be a cookie walk, bake sale, crafts, silent auction and a resale shop. Lunch will be available.

NOV. 11

Bashor Children’s Home: A holiday food and craft auction sponsored by the Bashor Children’s Home Auxiliary will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Bashor, 62226 C.R. 15, Goshen. The event will feature homemade food and craft items.

NOV. 14

YMCA: The Festival of Trees and Lights Holiday Gift Shop will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Nov. 14, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 16 at the YMCA, 200 E. Jackson Blvd., Elkhart. There will be holiday ornaments and décor and special items crafted by local artisans.

NOV. 16

Milford School: A community bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Milford School gym, 611 W. Emeline St., Milford. There will be vendors and crafters, handmade jewelry and wood items, baked good, Christmas décor, Gold Canyon Candles, Scentsy and Mary Kay. The Old Bag Factory: A holiday bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the store, 1100 N. Chicago Ave., Goshen. There will be live music, art demonstrations, handmade items and a Matilda Jane trunk show.

Original Craft Creator Group: A Hello Holidays O.C.C. Craft Show will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ag Hall at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds, 17746 C.R. 34, Goshen. There will be 50 tables of handcrafted items including wooden signs, crocheted items, stained glass, soaps, ornaments, cards, jewelry, baby gifts and baked goods.

NOV. 18

St. James Episcopal Church: A holiday auction will begin with refreshments at 6 p.m. at the church, 105 S. Sixth St., Goshen. There will be holiday craft items, baked goods, other foods, gift baskets and cheese balls from the church. Proceeds will benefit Christian outreach programs at the church as well as church projects.

NOV. 23

Faith Community Church: A holiday bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, 30046 C.R. 16 W., Elkhart. There will be vendors to purchase from, food for sale and a piggy raffle. Soup of Success: A holiday open house will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Soup of Success store at Church Community Services, 907 Oakland Ave., Elkhart. There will be Soup of Success soup, dip and cookie mixes, gift basket items, greeting cards and recycled wool mittens. All proceeds benefit Soup of Success training programs.

St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church: A Winter Wonderland craft bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 411 W. Vistual St., Bristol. There will be homemade crafts, jewelry and baked goods. Santa Claus will be available to take free pictures with the children.

Wakarusa United Methodist Church: A cookie walk will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church, 309 S. Elkhart St., Wakarusa. There will be cookies, candies and cheese spreads. The event is sponsored by the Wakarusa United Methodist Women.

Woodlawn Nature Center: The annual Winter in the Woods event will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Woodlawn, 604 Woodlawn Ave., Elkhart. There will be hands-on craft activities and Santa Claus will be available to greet children. Attendees will also receive admission to the Star of Wonder presentation. Proceeds will benefit Girl Scout Troop 10827. Food and drinks will be available.

DEC. 14

Calvary United Methodist Church: A cookie walk will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 2222 W. Indiana Ave., Elkhart. There will also be a “second chance” area with vendors and crafters. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Enter by the rear parking lot using Wurika Street due to construction on S.R. 19.

Dunlap United Methodist Church: A holiday bazaar will be start at 8:30 a.m. at the church, 23674 U.S. 33, Elkhart. There will be homemade Christmas cookies and candies and DUMC mincemeat and applebutter. B’s Candy Counter, Fruitcakes by Deb and Fritz’s Pie Shop will also be on hand.

DEC. 21

St. Mark’s United Methodist Church: A cookie walk will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the church, 502 N. Main St., Goshen. Homemade cookies fresh for Christmas will be available for purchase.[/URL]
