ELKHART — Elkhart General Hospital will implement the new electronic medical records system Cerner Millennium+ in June.

The system offers better communication, turnaround time and clinician access to medical records by allowing physicians to make more informed decisions at the patient’s bedside.

“This new system will give patients peace of mind that their medical records are accurate, safe and quickly accessible for clinicians to provide the highest quality of care,” said Greg Losasso, hospital president.

The Cerner transition is a collaboration between Beacon Health System’s two hospitals: Elkhart General and Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
