Cassopolis, Mich. COA computer, weather classes set

Classes will cover iPads and tablets, Kindles, social media and storm identification and preparedness.

CASSOPOLIS, Mich. — The Cass County Council on Aging is offering several upcoming classes.

Ÿ “Internet Security” will be 1 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Front Street Crossing, 227 Front St., Dowagiac, and 1 to 4 p.m. May 17 at COA Lowe Center, 60525 Decatur Road. The class will explore what individuals can do to protect against identity theft and hackers.

Ÿ “iPad and Tablets” will be from 9 a.m. to noon June 14 at COA Lowe Center.

Ÿ “Kindles” will be 1 to 3:30 p.m. June 14 at Front Street Crossing.

Ÿ “Social Media” will be 1 to 3:30 p.m. June 28 at Front Street Crossing. The class is for those who feel they are being left behind in keeping up with loved ones and friends on Facebook and other social media sites.

Ÿ WNDU meteorologist Gary Sieber will present “Prepare to be Blown Away,” set for 6 to 7 p.m. May 20 at the COA Lowe Center. He will discuss storm identification and preparedness.
