EGH EMS offering Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course Thursday and Friday

GOSHEN — Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services will offer an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the EGH Education Center, 2222 Rieth Blvd. The two-day course is designed to cover knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage an adult cardiac arrest and other acute cardiopulmonary emergencies. The program will involve team interaction, simulated clinical scenarios and hands-on learning stations. It is intended for physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, advanced level EMS providers and any healthcare provider responsible for emergency cardiac care. Fees are $100 for affiliated providers and EGH employees; and $125 for non-EGH affiliated providers. Courses are open to the public.
