Gregg Chenoweth named new president of Bethel College

MISHAWAKA — Bethel College board of trustees chair Brian L. Hamil announced Tuesday that Gregg Chenoweth will be the seventh president of Bethel College. He will begin his role in July.

Chenoweth is currently the vice president of academic affairs at Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois. He has presided over 500 faculty members, 75 undergraduate programs, 25 graduate programs, a dozen international programs and other facilities on campus.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University, a master’s degree from Northern Illinois University and a Ph.D. from Wayne State University. His wife of 23 years, Tammy, formerly lived in Mishawaka and graduated from Penn High School. They have three children.
