Wilkie Bush Sr. and his wife, Betty, celebrated his 95th birthday Saturday, March 23, with a party at Bent Oak Golf Club.
Seventy family members and friends attended.
Bush worked for 39 years at CTS Corp. in Elkhart before retiring in 1976 as vice president of supporting services. He has an electrical engineering degree from Michigan State University, a two-year certificate from University of Notre Dame in executive development and is a registered professional engineer.
Bush is also extensively involved with civic and church activities. He is the second director emeritus appointed by the Elkhart General Hospital Board. He was president of the Elkhart YMCA when the new building was built and is a trustee emeritus of Otterbein Home, the largest retirement community in Ohio. He served from 12 to 18 years on each board.
He still does some committee work and remains active with many interests.
