Songbird Anna Montgomery ready for Goshen homecoming

Singer-songwrighter Anna Montgomery will return to her hometown this weekend to play a concert at Ignition Garage in downtown Goshen.

GOSHEN — Goshen native Anna Montgomery will headline a concert at Ignition Garage in place of musician Justin Jones who was forced to cancel the first two weeks of his tour because of an accident that resulted in a broken rib.

Montgomery, who was scheduled to be Jones’ special guest, will take the stage this weekend with opening act Allison Ann, who recorded songs just one block from Ignition Garage at Electric Angel Studios.

Ÿ Who is Anna Montgomery? Montgomery, who was raised in Goshen, was formally trained in vocal jazz at Western Michigan University and Goshen College, where he mother was part of the music program. Montgomery, who now lives in Los Angeles, has appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Late Night with David Letterman” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” among others. Her new album, “Dream Logic,” will be released in March.
