Goshen Professor Emeritus work to be displayed Feb. 10 through March 28

GOSHEN — The artwork of Goshen College Professor Emeritus of Art Abner Hershberger will be displayed in the college’s Good Library Gallery from Feb. 10 to March 28. An opening reception for the exhibit, titled “Heritage Works,” will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The event is free and open to the public.

The exhibit includes 33 paintings exploring symbols of Mennonite farm life and living.

Hershberger taught painting and printmaking in the Goshen College Art Department from 1965 to 1999.

The Good Library Gallery is on the lower level of the Harold and Wilma Good Library on the campus of Goshen College is open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 11 p.m. Sunday.
