VOLUNTEERS

Center for Community Justice needs volunteers to help answering phones, filing, setting appointments and with client follow up.

The Center for Healing and Hope needs volunteers with health care experience, physicians, translators, clerks, greeters, nurses, nurse practitioners, chaplains and cashiers to provide care to the uninsured. Daytime and evening hours are needed, Monday through Friday, flexible schedule.

Child and Parent Services (CAPS) needs volunteers to work as Court Appointed Special Advocates, advocates for an abused or neglected child’s best interest in court. They also need parent aide volunteers to serve as “parenting coaches” for struggling families. Information: 295-2277 or www.capselkhart.org.

The Council on Aging of Elkhart County needs volunteers to take local seniors to medical, nutritional and well-being appointments.

Elkhart Child Development Center needs volunteers to work in the classroom with toddlers and two-year-olds on weekday mornings.

The Elkhart County Center for Community Justice needs volunteers to help with building maintenance and grounds-keeping, as well as volunteer mediators to work with victims and offenders in a case management role.
