The Truth is planning its annual listings of bazaars, bakes sales and craft shows for the 2012 holiday season.

The second listing is planned for Oct. 26, with a 5 p.m. Oct. 22 deadline to submit entries.

To place an event in one of the roundups, email your group’s information to jkuharic@etruth.com. Please include the time, date, location and street address of the event, and a brief summary of items that will be available. Please include the words “holiday bazaars” in the subject line. Or mail your information to The Elkhart Truth, Attn: Holiday Bazaars, 421 S. Second St., Elkhart, IN 46516-3238.

Groups may list their event in only one of the roundups

Saturday, OCT. 13

Cleveland Twp. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary: Shop for handcrafted items from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Moose Lodge 599. Items include jewelry, candles, hair bows, purses, magnets and more. Concession stands will be available. The lodge is at 1500 C.R. 6, Elkhart.

OCT. 20

Elkhart Calvary Assembly of God: There will be more than 50 tables of crafters from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Gym at the church. Crafters include handcrafted jewelry, doll clothes, purses, vests and jackets, greeting cards and pottery. There will be hot dogs, chips, brownies and drinks for sale. The church is at 1010 E. Mishawaka Road, Elkhart.

Greencroft Goshen Community Center: Many homemade items will be available from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the center. Breakfast and lunch will be available from “B in the Circle”. The center is at 1820 Greencroft Blvd., Goshen.

OCT. 27

Augustana Lutheran Church: The annual Swedish Bazaar is from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the church. Breakfast will be served between 8 and 10 a.m. The bazaar will feature Swedish rye bread, baked goods, craft items and a silent auction. The church is at 1133 Kilbourn St., Elkhart.

Girlfriends Holiday Shopping Extravaganza: The craft bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to noon at Harrison College. There will be food, holiday cooking/decorating demonstrations, local artists, holiday crafts and homemade crafts. Booths are still available. Information: Tammy 361-5244. The college is at 56075 Parkway Ave., Elkhart.

Lima United Methodist Church: The 3rd Annual bazaar is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. Breakfast and lunch will be available. There will be many crafts and baked goods. Booths still available. Information: Jessica 260-562-2537. The church is at 450 W. & 700 N., Shipshewana.

Redeemer Community Christian School: A craft bazaar will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school. There will be homemade crafts and candy as well as name brand vendors such as 31 Bags, Tupperware and Avon. The school is at 24004 Old U.S. 20 E., Elkhart.

Rock Run Church of the Brethren: The church will have their 48th Annual Bazaar and Bake sale from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. There will be homemade baked goods, noodles, comforters, woven

rugs and crafts. Breakfast and lunch will be available. All proceeds go to local charities. The church is at 64985 C.R. 33, Goshen.

St. Joseph Church: The 18th Annual Holiday Craft “BOO!zaar” is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. There will be more than 70 craft and gift item tables, a bake sale, raffles and collectibles. Children are invited to dress in costume and “trick or treat”. Information: 574-255-1757. The church is at 217 W. Third St., Mishawaka.

NOV. 2

First United Church of Christ: The church’s annual “Holiday Happenings” is from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be many crafters and vedors available. Pulled pork will be served in the evening. The church is at 110 S. Fifth St., Goshen. Information: Darla at 825-4041. Continues from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

NOV. 3

Bethel Assembly of God Church: A holidy bazaar will be at the church from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be baby quilts, knitted caps, hats, card table covers, miniature Christmas trees, soup and dip mixes and peanut brittle. Baked potatoes, sloppy joes, hot dogs, pies and cakes will be served for lunch. The church is at 600 E. Bristol St., Elkhart.

Calvary United Methodist: The annual Harvest and Holiday Bazaar is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be second chance items for sale, baked goods, Amish cookies, Massings’ chocolate covered cherries and buckeyes. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Enter by the rear level and parking lot. Questions: 293-0783 in the mornings. The church is at 2222 Indiana Ave., Elkhart.

Community Church of Waterford: A Holiday Bazaar and Bake Sale is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food, unique crafts, gifts and one-of-a-kind items can be found. Breakfast and lunch available. The church is at 65154 C.R. 21, Goshen.

Home Spun Holiday Craft Show: The 25th Annual event sponsored by City of Elkhart Parks and Recreation Dept. is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at High Dive Pavilion. There will be glass and wood crafts, sewn and crocheted items, jewelry and goat milk. There will be door prizes. Vendor applications: www.elkhartindiana.org/parks. The pavilion is at 500 E. Beardsley Ave., Elkhart.

Nappanee Church of the Brethren: The church will have it’s 17th Annual Craft Bazaar and Cookie Walk from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Lunch, with soup and sandwiches, will be between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The church is at 301 Mack Drive.

Northside Church of the Nazarene: There will be a craft bazaar and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Family Life Center on the lower level of the church. Handcrafted items will be for sale. Lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Information: 264-5866 or Carl Mayfield at 276-9822. The church is at 53569 C.R. 7 North, Elkhart.

The Residents of Greencroft, Middlebury: The residents as well as three area churches will have a holiday bazaar and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Greencroft Middlebury Senior Center. There will be cinnamon rolls, pies, fudge, quick breads, cookies, candy and handcrafted items. Lunch will be available and coffee will be free. The center is at 701 Windridge Dr., Middlebury.

Trinity Lutheran Crusaders: A Christmas Bazaar is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school. There will be homemade wreaths, cards, jewelry and hair bows. There will also be kids toys, Mary Kay, Partylite and Scentsy. Breakfast and lunch will be served. There will also be a bake sale and raffle. Information: Shannon Petty 675-0189. NOV. 10

Alpha Rho Charter/Beta Chi Sorority: The group will be selling cheeseballs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, 22045 C.R. 18, Goshen. All proceeds go to charities for Multiple Sclerosis. Cost: $6.

Beulah Missionary Church: The church will be holding its annual Holiday Bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be homemade items, jewelry, stained glass and home vendors. Food will be available. Information: Jackie Smith 875-6537. The church is located at 57595 Old C.R. 17.

Clinton Frame Mennonite Church: There will be a holiday bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. There will be locally made gift items, crafts, home product vendors and baked goods for sale. The Frame Café will also be open. There will be more than 50 vendors present. Information: The church office at 642-3165. The church is at 63846 C.R. 35, Goshen.

Dunlap United Methodist Church: The 16th Annual Shop-O-Rama is from 9 a. m. to 2 p.m. at the church. There will be homemade mincemeat, chocolates, and arts and crafts. There will be a bake sale and lunch available. The church is at 23674 U.S. 33, Elkhart.

Faith United Methodist Church: A holiday craft show is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. There will be more than 100 crafters as well as a “gently used” table. Hope United Methodist Church: The Hope United Methodist Women are sponsoring a church bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. There will be homemade pies, cake, craft tables, a bake sale, a White Elephant sale and used books. Lunchc will be served. Information: 269-663-2638. The church is at 69941 Elkhart Road, Edwardsburg, Mich.

Osceola United Methodist Women for Missions: The group will have a Holiday Fantasy Bazaar from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Osceola United Methodist Church. There will be craft vendors, baked goods, holiday items, homemade noodles, Second Time Around items and books. Lunch and snacks will be served. The church is at 431 N. Beech Rd., Osceola.

St. David’s Episcopal Church: The churches ECW will host a holiday bazaar from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be homemade soups and cookies. There will also be an “Oldie But Goodie” room with repurposed holiday decorations. All proceeds go to local charities. The church is at 26824 C.R. 4 W., Elkhart. St. Mary’s Catholic Church: There will be a holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. They will have holiday items, a bake sale, needlework, handcrafted items, plants, “Hidden Treasures” and lunch. The church is at 411 W. Vistula St., Bristol.

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church: The church’s “Star of Wonder” bazaar is from 8 a.m. to noon. There will be ornaments, knitted and crocheted items, homemade baked goods, English walnuts, roasted cashews, whole hog sausage, cheese curds and more available for purchase. The church is at 405 W. Beardsley Ave., Elkhart.

NOV. 17

All Saints Episcopal Church: There will be a Holiday Auction beginning at 6 p.m. at the church. Donated items include baked goods, craft items, business items, Christmas items and cheese balls. There will also be finger food and desert items. The church is at 7812 Vawter Park Road, Syracuse.

Milford Community Bazaar: The fifth annual bazaar is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Milford School Gym. There will be homemade crafts, jewelry and wood crafts, floral arrangements, peanut brittle, kettle corn and unique crafts. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Oslo Elementary School: The 31st Annual Olde Fashioned Holiday Craft Bazaar will be from from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Osolo Elementary School. There will be more than 100 crafters, food, drinks and smencils. The school is at 24975 C.R. 6, Elkhart.

Trinity United Methodist Church: There will be a preview and silent auction beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the church. The live auction will begin at 2 p.m. Items to be auctioned include gift holiday decor, quilted wall hangings, antique candle holders and a special meal prepared and served in your home. Refreshments. Proceeds benefit the UMW mission work. The church is at 2715 E. Jackson Blvd., Elkhart.

DEC. 1

St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church: A craft bazaar is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. There will be hand crafted items such as children’s clothing, throw pillows and jewelry. The church is at 411 W. Vistula St., Bristol.

DEC. 8

Dunlap United Methodist Church: A holiday cookie walk starts at 8:30 a.m. at the church. There will be homemade cookies, candies, fruitcakes, pies, and peanut brittle. The church is at 23674 U.S. Hwy 33, Elkhart.

DEC. 22

St. Mark’s United Methodist Women: The group will have their annual Cookie Walk from 8:30 a.m. to noon at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 502 N. Main St., Goshen. There will be homemade cookies, fresh for Christmas. Cookies are sold by the dozen.
