WAKARUSA — Volunteers are needed and vendor applications are now available for the Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival, to be held April 25 - 27.
Volunteers will perform a variety of tasks, including set-up and tear-down, food service and working the information booth. All volunteers will receive a meal ticket for either the Lion’s Club or Nelson’s BBQ meal, while non-profit groups will be given a small stipend.

The festival committee and the Wakarusa Chamber of Commerce will offer outdoor vendor opportunities for craft and commercial vendors. Non-profit vendor space is available inside NorthWood Middle School during the pancake and sausage meals, to be held April 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. and April 26 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Outdoor vendors must provide their own tents for a 12 foot by 12 foot booth area. The cost for vendor space is $100. One 110 volt electricity plug per booth is available for a $25 fee. The non-profit vendor space cost is $25.
Application forms are available on their website and are due by April 11.
