Nappanee issues citywide freeze warning
After the city started to see frozen water services at residential properties, it decided to issue the warning.
NAPPANEE – City officials in Nappanee have issued a freeze warning in response to reports of residential properties experiencing frozen water services.
According to a press release the city issued on Monday afternoon, Feb. 10, home and business owners should leave cold water running from a faucet inside of their buildings until the city withdraws the freeze warning. The stream from the faucet should be about the width of the led inside of a pencil, the release said.
Locals who leave their water running can contact Nappanee's water utility department for a bill adjustment that will take the extra water use into account. Those with questions about the freeze warning or how to respond to it can contact the city's water utility department at 574-773-4623.
