Meeting: Middlebury Redevelopment Commission

When: Thursday, May 22

Actions: About 80 residents in the Highland Hills neighborhoods are receiving letters to schedule installation of a new water meter and pressure reducing valve. This is in preparation for the activation of a booster station to the Highland Hills neighborhoods to improve water pressure.

The Elkhart County Redevelopment Commission gave final formal approval Thursday, May 23, to repurpose tax increment financing revenues from the county’s Middlebury East TIF district to upgrade the town’s water system.

The engineering for the water looping project for the industrial area on the south end of Middlebury is done, and the work will go out for bid shortly, with construction probably beginning in a couple months.
