Northridge principal Gerald Rasler will retire, recognized for achievements

Middlebury Community Schools educator Gerald Rasler is retiring this year after 43 years and a local group will honor him.

A local principal is being recognized for his achievements. 

The Crystal Valley Exchange Club of Middlebury has selected Northridge High School Principal Gerald Rasler for its Book of Golden Deeds award.

"Mr. Rasler is being recognized for his outstanding service and contribution to the local community and Middlebury Community Schools during his years as an educator and administrator in the local school system," the group said in a statement. 

Rasler is retiring at the end of this year after 43 years with Middlebury schools, the statement said. 

The club will present the principal with the award at a banquet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1 at Essenhaus Inn and Conference Center in Middlebury.

The event is open to the community for $20 per ticket.

Tickets can be purchased from any Crystal Valley Exchange Club member, or from Lake City Bank, Hawkins Water Tech, or First State Bank in Middlebury.
