GOSHEN — A few railroad crossings in Goshen will be closed this week for repairs.
U.S. 33, also known as Madison Street in Goshen, will be closed at Ninth Street starting at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, because of railroad construction by Norfolk Southern.
The road is expected to reopen Monday evening. The official detour follows U.S. 6 to S.R. 15, according to the news release.
Construction crews will be rebuilding the railroad crossing to improve the driving surface of the crossing for drivers, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Other roads that will be closed for repairs this week include First Street, Main Street, Fifth Street, Cottage Avenue, Ninth Street, Purl Street, Reynolds Street and Jackson Street.
