A Goshen 7-year-old was taken to the hospital with a broken leg Friday evening after being struck by a car.

A witness told police the boy was trying to cross U.S. 33 near Douglas Street in Goshen when he ran in front of a blue Dodge Durango, according to a report from the Goshen Police.

The boy was taken to IU Health Goshen by ambulance for treatment, the report stated.
