GOSHEN — An intersection near downtown Goshen will remain partially closed during the Elkhart County 4-H Fair parade Sunday, July 20, because of ongoing construction.

The intersection of West Purl Street and South Third Street has been closed because of new underground utilities being installed. The northern part of the intersection will be open to traffic, but the southern part of the intersection will remain closed, according to Jason Hoffman, of the Goshen City engineering department

Detours will be placed, directing southbound traffic to Main Street through West Purl Street. Northbound traffic will be directed from Plymouth Avenue to Main Street and then to West Purl Street.

The Goshen Police Department will assist with traffic control on Sunday during the parade.
