Railroad crossings planned to be closed in Goshen for work

Norfolk Southern is planning scheduled closures of railroad crossings in Goshen as work is completed.

Norfolk Southern tentatively has scheduled several railroads crossing closures over the next week.

The closures are part of the company’s dual track replacement project, according to a press release from the city of Goshen. Crossings will have the final asphalt surface material installed.

Here is a list of the anticipated upcoming closures:

  • Monroe Street crossing: currently closed, re-opening planned for end of the day Wednesday, July 9.
  • Cottage Avenue crossing: closed from 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, until Saturday, July 12
  • Fifth Street crossing: closed from 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, until Thursday, July 10
  • Main Street crossing: closed from 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, until Thursday, July 10.
  • First Street crossing: closed from 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, until Saturday, July 12
  • Indiana Avenue crossing: No work scheduled for this crossing at this time.
  • Beaver Lane crossing: closed from Wednesday, July 9, until Friday, July 11
  • Greene Road crossing: closed from Wednesday, July 9, until Friday, July 11
  • Peddlers Village Road crossing: closed from Wednesday, July 9, until Saturday, July 12
