GOSHEN — Goshen’s trash pickup route scheduled for Fridays will run again Monday morning, July 7.
Goshen’s trash hauler, Republic Services, ran its regular collection route on Friday, July 4, but few residents knew about it.
The trash route was originally scheduled to run on Saturday instead of Friday, —a common arrangement on holiday weekends in the city,— but the trash hauling company wanted to give its workers the weekend, according to a spokesperson for the City of Goshen.
Because of the confusion caused over the holiday weekend, the city decided to run the Friday route on Monday again. This will not affect Monday’s route, which will run normal, according to a press release from the city.
The week’s regular schedule will remain the same. Trash pickup scheduled for Friday, July 11, will run as normal.
