GOSHEN — Children coming back to Chamberlain Elementary this fall will find a something a little different outside their school.

After five years of fundraising, the Chamberlain community was able to purchase and build a playground for the neighborhood’s elementary school.

The Parent-Teacher Organization at Chamberlain Elementary announced in May that the school had raised $91,000 to purchase new playground equipment.

Volunteers gathered from June 26 through June 28 to assemble and place the new playground. Jessica Elliott, president of the PTO, said the old equipment was old, rusted and boarded up in some places.
