Voting ends tomorrow for competition that could win money for Goshen Bark Park
If you’d like to see a dog park built in Goshen, now is the time to vote in an online competition.
Last month Goshen Bark Park, an organization dedicated to building a dog park in the city, entered a national contest that could win it $100,000 or $25,000 for the project. The first phase of online voting for the PetSafe “Bark for Your Park” competition ends Saturday, June 7.
So far, the group has 1,674 votes.
Goshen Bark Park’s plans to construct a park have been in the works since the end of 2012 – however, fundraising has been slow. Joe Mehl, who is with the organization, said the group had only raised $800 for the project as of May 10.
The future dog park’s exact location has yet to be determined, Mehl said just under a month ago. However, he was optimistic about the support he’s received from the community and government officials.
