GOSHEN — Mayor Allan Kauffman swore in two new officers for the Goshen Police Department on Monday, May 12.
Alexandro Rosales and James A. Baumgartner were hired as probationary patrol officers.
Rosales has been a Goshen reserve officer for almost three years, according to police chief Wade Branson. He has been approved by state and local pension boards. Rosales’ hiring date was retroactively set to Friday, May 9.
Baumgartner is transferring from the Nappanee Police Department where he served as an officer for more than two and a half years. He will join the Goshen Police Department on Friday, May 16.
