Aaron Neville bringing gospel, R&B to Elkhart Jazz Festival scene

The Saturday headliner has won several Grammy Awards over his long career.

ELKHART — Grammy Award-winning artist Aaron Neville will bring his acclaimed R&B and gospel voice to Elkhart this weekend as a headliner at the Elkhart Jazz Festival

Neville is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 21 at the Lerner Theatre. Tickets for the performance start at $30 and are available at www.thelerner.com and at the Lerner box office.

Neville is known for hits like "Don't Know Much," "Tell it Like it Is" and "Everybody Plays the Fool," among other songs. His music has made its mark across a wide spectrum of genres including R&B, gospel, doo-wop, adult contemporary and, of course, vocal jazz. Aside from his solo success, Neville recorded and toured with his brothers Art, Charles and Cyril as The Neville Brothers.

The New Orleans-born singer has won three Grammy Awards, one Big Easy Award and was selected as the “Best Male Singer” in the Rolling Stone Critics’ Poll two years in a row.
