ELKHART — Before the Elkhart Jazz Festival ramps up, boaters who float down the St. Joseph River this week will get a sneak peek at one of the popular music festival’s new artists.

The California Honeydrops are playing an outdoor concert at a home north of downtown at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 19. While the party is a private event, anyone with a boat can listen from the water.

The float-in concert will be at 2818 E. Jackson Blvd. on the south shore of the river. A jazz festival banner is hanging on the side of the property facing the river to help boaters find their way.
