Jimtown opening football game vs. NorthWood designated Military Appreciation Night

Fans are encouraged to donate items for care packages at Friday’s opener against NorthWood.

JIMTOWN — The NorthWood at Jimtown high school football opener Friday, Aug. 22, has been designated Military Appreciation Night.

A collection of care package items for deployed men and women will take place. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable snacks, toiletries, playing cards and pens/pencils to donate. Blue Star Moms will be packaging and sending the items collected.

All branches of the military will be recognized at the game.

Friday’s contest at Knepp Field is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
