Dog breeds big and small brought their owners on a night out for music, food and fun during the fourth annual Elkhart Dog Daze of Summer on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Elkhart Civic Plaza.

The event, sponsored by Pillars of Elkhart, included local businesses, a beer garden and live music with part of the proceeds benefitting the Humane Society of Elkhart County.

“It’s fun when people can come out and bring their dogs and have a good time,” said Eileen Corson, vice president of the Humane Society board of directors.

Visitors who brought donations to the event were awarded with a free gift. “The Studio donated a bunch of yoga sessions and other products,” said Pillars member Stephanie Patka.

“We always need donations and I can’t thank Pillars enough and everyone who came out for this,” said Corson.
