Dust off your smoking jackets and flapper dresses — a Gatsby-style affair is coming to Elkhart.

The Elkhart Civic Theatre at the Bristol Opera House will host its first “Summertime Soirée” from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, in the gardens at the Ruthmere Mansion.

The “Great Gatsby” themed event will feature hors d’oeuvres, authentic 1920s cocktails and music by Generations Trio, a jazz group led by pianist Dennis Guillaume.

An auction will feature works by local artists including Jacqueline MacKenzie, Dick Lehman, Phil Monteith, Shana Dines and Bill Dean.

Proceeds from the event will support Elkhart Civic Theatre. Tickets cost $60 each. Tables for eight people are available for $400.
