ELKHART — Traffic on a portion of S.R. 19 will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning Monday as a reconstruction project that started last summer enters its final phase.
Beginning Monday morning, March 31, northbound and southbound traffic on S.R. 19 will be reduced to one lane between Lusher Avenue and Franklin Street as crews work on the northbound lanes, according to an INDOT news release.
Additionally, left turns from northbound and southbound lanes of S.R. 19 onto Franklin Street will be prohibited.
The lane restriction is expected to last until mid-June, weather permitting.
During this time, crews will also work on signal heads, traffic markings, curbs, gutters and storm sewers.
