ELKHART – An Elkhart couple turned $5 into $200,000 after they won the Gold Rush Scratch-off lottery.

Beth and Chuck Bueter redeemed their winning scratch-off card with the Hoosier Lottery on Thursday, Feb. 27. Chuck Bueter purchased the card at the 7-Eleven at 25014 CR 6 in Elkhart.

He told the lottery that he is a regular player. In 2013, he also won $5,000 from the scratch-off lottery.

The couple said they plan to take a trip to Florida and help pay for their two adult children's student loans.

“I repeatedly looked at the ticket before I went back into the store to talk to the manager who sold it to me,” said Bueter. “I’m still kind of going, ‘Wow!’”

The Hoosier Lottery said that four $200,000 prizes still remain unclaimed.
