BRISTOL — Families gathered Saturday, Aug. 23, at Congdon Park in Bristol to celebrate the life of Karsyn Bell and to “Pay it Forward.”

The annual festival is hosted by Santa’s Pantry and the group donates the money it earns to more than 20 local nonprofit organizations, all given in Karsyn’s memory, as posted on their website.

"All given in Karsyn's memory and to encourage others to practice what this little girl taught....Pay It Forward" the website said.

Debbie Micole, co-founder of Santa’s Pantry, said about 500 pounds of food were collected, in addition to maybe a few thousand dollars in donations.

"It was really hot out today, but I’d say it was the best year ever for attendance,” Micole said.
