BRISTOL — The Bristol Town Council passed an ordinance annexing approximately 45 acres on the south edge of Bristol on Friday, May 23. The land includes Maple Street, C.R. 10 and Industrial Drive. Industrial Drive is the new road being built between S.R. 15 and the Earthway Industrial Park, where Utilimaster is located. The council met in special session to expedite the annexation process.

Industrial Drive is expected to be open in the next few weeks, but some work remains to be done. Striping and signage need to be installed, seeding needs to be done along the roadway, and C.R. 10 will be closed off from S.R. 15 to prevent traffic safety problems. The Bristol Town Council plans to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the road opening.
