Mittens on a Mission asks for sweater donations
Soup of Success, a job and life skills training program directed at women, is asking for the public's help with one of their recent lines -- wool winter mittens.
The program, called "Mittens on a Mission," started in October and recycles old sweaters so that participants in the Soup of Success program turn them into winter mittens.
Donated sweaters must be at least 70-percent lamb's wool. Sweaters with small holes are them are acceptable.
The program opened a new store in October at 907 Oakland Ave. in Elkhart and is holding a grand opening 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7.
