Cornerstone Christian Montessori students excel at Elkhart Science Fair

Students from Cornerstone Christian Montessori participate in city science fair.

On Saturday, Feb. 2 students from Cornerstone Christian Montessori participated in the Elkhart City Science Fair at Memorial High School.

Of the 15 participants, four earned second place ribbons and 11 earned first place ribbons.

First-grader Selita Jiménez won a silver medal for K-2 Division Runner-Up with her project charting which treat her rabbits liked to eat the most.

Fourth-grader Carlitos Jiménez won a silver medal for the 3-5 Division Runner-Up with his project studying which affects heart rate the most, caffeine or sugar.

Fifth-grader Leila Soliman received a gold medal for first place in the 3-5 Division for her study of whether students have better reading comprehension with black or red colored text.

Second-grader Lukas Greig earned a gold medal for first place in the K-2 Division and a trophy for his project on chaos vs. order, which is better for building Lego sets.
