Moore, Jones key Memorial girls basketball victory

Chargers beat Michigan City, 70-54

Khadijah Moore scored 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds on Friday, Jan. 3, to lead Elkhart Memorial to a 70-54 victory over Michigan City, in a non-conference girls basketball game.

Adreana Jones also had a great game for the Crimson Chargers, hitting nine of her 15 shots from the field and backing Moore with 23 points. Alexis Miller added 11 and Hannah Dillman nine for Memorial.

The Chargers trailed 31-29 at halftime, before outscoring Michigan City 19-7 in the third quarter to take control.

Michal Miller scored 28 points and Brittani Boyd added 13 for the Wolves.
