MISHAWAKA — This year, the Al Smith Classic Wrestling Invitational at Mishawaka High School ends on a Saturday.

The 35th annual event that attracts 32 teams from all over Indiana is slated for 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, and 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28. The finals are expected to begin just after 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Elkhart Memorial, Goshen, Jimtown, NorthWood and Penn will be in this year’s mix.

Besides those listed above and host Mishawaka, participating squads include Bellmont, Calumet, Center Grove, Chesterton, Columbus East, Danville, Garrett, Hobart, Jasper, LaPorte, Lake Central, Lawrence Central, Lawrence North, Lowell, Merrillville, Michigan City, Munster, Peru, Prairie Heights, Princeton, Rochester, South Bend Adams, South Bend Riley, Warsaw, Warren Central and West Noble.

Cost is $8 each day (all day).
