NEW CASTLE — Penn High School graduate Kellie (Moran) Sade is part of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame 2014 Women’s Silver Anniversary Team.
The former Kingsmen hardwood standout is among 18 players who graduated in 1989, including 10 Indiana All-Stars.
The other members include Western’s Wendy Aldridge, Tell City’s Krista Blunk, Marion’s Andrea (Smith) Brown, Noblesville’s Courtney (Cox) Cole, Valparaiso’s Jennifer (Cole) Davis, North Konox’s Tricia Cullop, Benton Central’s Sheryl (Klemme) Christmas, Alexandria’s Sabrina (Slone) Duncan, Logansport’s Courtney (Sands) Gault, Gary Wallace’s Michelle (Harris) Hoskins, Brebeuf’s Heather (Youngman) Haynes, Huntington North’s Nancy (Hoover) Larkey, Columbus North’s Karen McCaa, East Chicago Central’s Bridget Pettis, Seymour’s Julie (VonDielingen) Shelton, Hamilton’s Sloan (Haughey) Swanson and Scottsburg’s Renee Westmoreland.
All Women’s Silver Anniversary Team members will be honored at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s 13th Annual Women’s Banquet on Saturday, April 26 at Primo Banquet Hall in Indianapolis. At the same time, the newest Hall of Fame class, including Jimtown’s Kim (Barrier) McGuire, will be inducted.
